March’s Meeting

Thank you for attending the meeting this month! We discussed CHART updates, the immigration forum, and the impact of federal funding on our local community. Notes & recording will on the CHART website soon.

CHART Updates: The theme for the rest of the year is PERINATAL HEALTH so we can lend our collective impact to the Perinatal Taskforce. In keeping with that theme, Place Matters this year will be focused on the Community Baby Shower, which will be on May 30th. If you would like to attend as a community partner/volunteer or participate in planning sign up here. We are also changing the format of the monthly meeting. Meetings will now rotate between networking, work groups, and learning/presenters.

April’s Meeting

9:30-11am Hybrid at Fort Clatsop Visitor Center, Netul meeting room and on TEAMS. Focus: Networking & resource sharing. Bring your elevator pitch and program brochures. Bonus if you can speak to how your program relates to perinatal health.

Impact of the Federal Funding Freeze

CHART members are bringing the community together focused on the goal of gathering data to share with federal legislators, ensuring strong advocacy for resources. At the same time, we will work to identify existing local resources and strengthen connections within Clatsop County, allowing us to better anticipate impacts and collaborate effectively to support our community.

Take the Clatsop County Survey: Complete the survey about how federal funds effect you and your work. Can be submitted anonymously and all questions are optional.

Email Paul Lindberg, a community grant writer: Paul is coordinating with CHART members to gather stories to share with potential funders about the impact and need for funding. Share what you would tell a funder today, if you had the chance. What you would tell them about the changing landscape for your org (in any/every sense of the word)? What would you tell them about how they can help Paul@hatcreekconsulting.com

Give National Feedback: The Tracking Federal Cuts Mapping Project is to better inform the public about the impact the firings of civil servants, withdrawal of funding, and termination of programs may have on everyday Americans across every state. Take their survey.

Download the app 5 Calls - Contact Your Congress: Will assist you with finding your local reps, the latest topics and examples of scripts if you wish to contact them. Available on both the App store and the Google Play store.
